Oh, this one takes the cake as one of the happiest most loving couples. The energy was so infectious as we arrived at The Garrison, a place I love designing for, it reminded me of my own wedding day! I loved working with such a playful yet luscious color palette with excellent texture and sumptuous elements. Besides all the beautiful garden roses, succulents and sweet pea, the outrageous ranunculas were the star of the show. Being that this wedding was in March, just before the beginning of peony season, we really went overboard with the garden roses accented with touches of fresh herbs and silvery purple acacia. Katie, you are so gorgeous inside and out, and I wish you and your handsome Matt nothing but a wonderfully long life filled with many travels and adventures ahead.
Joanna and Emile. A truly beautiful and madly in love couple. Joanna’s bouquet was inspired by the lace in her gorgeous dress. Crisp green ferns and scented geranium with beautiful seasonal dahlias, anemones, ranunculas and white Tibet roses. Brooklyn Winery was the perfect venue for Joanna and Emile’s wedding, understated, warm and intimate. It’s always a wonderful atmosphere to design in. All we needed were some fresh crisp flowers designed in lovely milk glass vessels to brighten up the beautiful wood tables. Joanna and Emile’s initials made of green Kermit Mums hanging on the wooden doors was the final touch. I wish all the best for Joanna and Emile, thank you for allowing me to be your florist!
Flynn's, Ocean Bay Park, Fire Island
Another gorgeous Fire Island wedding from last summer. What can I say, I have the best job in the whole world. I’ve never seen a happier and more joyful couple, Krista and LT were glowing from start to finish. Keeping things classic yet airy and modern, we worked with over sized white Calla Lily’s, gorgeous Amaryllis in coral and white, lush green elephant ears, and a touch of the ever so geometric Passion flower. I also have to credit Flynn’s for their support and for giving my crew such an excellent environment to design in. The breeze off the bay while working was sublime, and I know, enjoyed by the bride, groom and their guests even more so. Hats off to Krista, LT and the Flynn’s family for throwing an amazing wedding that felt effortless and magical, thank you for allowing me to be just a small part of it.
Landmark on the Park, New York City
Blooming Quince and Dogwood branches filled Geneva and Nathan’s ceremony while gold leafed Ruskus, lush red roses with earthy heleborus, succulents and ivy adorned antique bird cages and branch centerpieces! This Wedding, featured in Story Board Wedding, was one to remember! Seeing thru the lens of Geneva and Nathan was unlike no other . Ethereal and inspiring, Geneva wore a beautiful gold and ivory tulle Christian Siriano dress while her bridesmaids wore teal holding dark red rose bouquets. Personalized to the tiniest detail, Nathan wore his family’s plaid while I pinned lockets of Geneva’s grandparents to her bouquet of muted pale pinks, purples and nude toned roses. It was truly something else. Geneva and Nathan, thank you for having me design for your fantastical wedding!
The New York Palace, New York City
Nothing like a sophisticated New York City November wedding! Lauren and PJ (Patrick James) had such a gorgeous vision. Large Red Charm Peonies with Double Eggplant Calla Lilly’s set the bar along with the Bride’s beautiful dress, the Bridesmaids black gowns and Groom’s black tuxedos. The aesthetic was all about large rich flowers with deep colors and ruffled textures. Streamlined and chic, I think this is the way to go! Congrats Lauren and PJ! I wish you both nothing but the best!
